The End As We Know It

Could the end as we know it come this year? No, I am not talking about the Mayan or any other groups calendar. Could we be approaching the Great Tribulation spoken of in Matthew, Luke and Mark? I typically write about the Bible and discuss the Pre-wrath theory. There are many other sites that provide the current news as it relates to prophecy, so I do not feel that another site is necessary for this info. I am going to make an exception here though. Those that follow me on Twitter know that I said I expect the Euro/Europe would crash in the next 120 days or so. A well known trend reader/forecaster, Gerald Celente has come out in the last couple of days and said the same thing. You can listen to the interview here. That is not all though. I visit many blogs and news sites, some more than others. Unsealed Prophecy is one of them. A recent blog listed out the important events that are quickly approaching. Here is the list of events:

1. Gerald Celente’s forecast of a potential collapse in approx. 90 days.

2. The new sanctions from the US will kick in about April 1.

3. The worlds leading economies has over $8 trillion dollars of debt + interest maturing this year and $4 trillion this quarter. See Zerohedge (great website) or Bloomberg

4. Passover is April 6, 2012

5. Pope Benedict may step down April 15th. See here. This is not confirmed mind you. One also has to consider the Malachy prophesy here

6. One of followers of Unsealed Prophecy pointed out from the 777 point drop of the Dow in Sept 2008 to Passover 2012 is about 42 months or 3.5 years.

7. Israel and the US are performing the largest missile exercise ever performed in Israel soon. Also, other countries are sending troops and ships to the middle east….here Could we see the surrounding of Jerusalem prophecy fulfilled in short time? Luke 21:20 Are we going to see a war with Iran very soon?

I have been watching (as we are told to do) for the Lord’s return for about 15 years. Seeing events unfold the way they have has been amazing to say the least. I know there is more to come and this may all be nothing, but we must remain watchful. This is the time to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and godly. We may be nearing the Great Tribulation soon…

Is Matthew For Jews Only?

Every pre-trib proponent, whether auther, blogger, follower, etc, says that Matthew is for the Jews. Most have this viewpoint due the number of times Matthew recites Old Testament verses. Others believe this because they do not know how else to contend with Matthew 24. Matthew 24 discusses the coming persecution of the saints and the coming of Christ. If the Gospel of Matthew is for Jews why do gentile believers spend so much time in the book? Christmas just passed and in many churches the line of Jesus from David is discussed. The lineage is only given in Matthew. Some say Luke provides the same lineage, but that would leave Joseph with two fathers. This is for another discussion though. What else is quite frequently discussed from Matthew? Also during the Christmas time the magi are discussed. For some reason the number of magi or the number of people with the magi has been a very popular topic this year. The magi are only discussed in Matthew. How about the birth of Jesus? Only found in Luke and Matthew. The Beatitudes in Matthew 5 is a popular topic in church, Sunday School/Bible Study classes. I do not think many truly understand the Beatitudes, but that again is another topic. Matthew also speaks about christians are the salt and light of the world. Many of the healings that Jesus performs is in Matthew. Matthew speaks of the parable of the sower. You know, some seeds fall on rocky terrain, some fell among thorns, some fowls devoured, but others on good ground. Those with faith the size of a mustard seed is given to us in Matthew. The wheat and the tares is discussed. Feeding of the five thousand, Jesus and Peter walking on water, feeding of the four thousand, Jesus prophecies his death, parable of the lost sheep, the rich man parable, and the great commission to go teach others. Teach others what? In Matthew 28, was Jesus telling Jews who were adherent to the law to go teach the Old Testament Law? NO! Now the Old Testament is important and should not be disregarded. Jesus said in Matthew 28:19 – “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” Definitely not speaking or teaching the Old Testament, for one Jews were not and are not baptized. Two, the Holy Ghost did not come until Pentecost after Jesus died and rose again.

Now back to the main point of this entry. Many pre-trib followers say Matthew is for the Jews because they do not know how to deal with Matthew 24. Some do deal with it though. They deal with it by saying the coming of the Lord in Matthew 24:30 is His second coming and not the rapture. So let’s take a very quick look. Matthew 24 has Jesus giving the seals discussed in Revelation 6. The Great Tribulation begins in verse 15 when the abomination of desolation occurs which is spoken of in Daniel and in 2 Thessalonians. Many do not disagree these are the seals spoken of in Revelation 6. The next few verses is where the contention begins. The coming of the Christ. Some of those following the pre-trib viewpoint say this is the 2nd coming of Christ and not the rapture. They have no explanation of how or why Matthew jumps from the seals to the 2nd coming of Christ. What’s missing are a few trumpet and bowl judgements. For those that say that Matthew is for Jews do not know how to deal with Mark 13 or Luke 21. For these to Gospel books tell us the same thing. They also do not know how to deal with verse 31 in Matthew 24 which says “And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” This is the rapture right after the 6th seal discussed in verse 29. If as pre-tribbers contend this is not the rapture of the church, then they must believe there is a 2nd rapture. Most do not believe in 2 raptures, but if they don’t then how to deal with gathering of the elect in verse 31 is a major problem.

The pre-trib theory is one that has to explain away or through a lot of issues because it is not Biblical. It was created in the early to mid-1800′s. The book The Hope of Christ’s Second Coming written by Samuel P. Tregelles explains this. The first edition of this book was in 1864 and speaks of the newly created theory of Pre-Tribulation.

If Matthew is just for Jews then why are so many studies done in Matthew. I typically only hear that it is just for Jews when speaking of Matthew 24 and the gathering is the gathering of the Jews at the very end. Which I contend that Matthew, Mark, and Luke all skip a lot of Revelation if this is true and they give no indication that they are doing so. The other question I have not brought up is when pre-tribbers or anyone else says it is for Jews what do they mean? I think it is clear based on my points above that Matthew is written to anyone. It is explaining how Jesus met certain prophecy’s from the Old Testatment, then speaks of Jesus ministry, and finally of what He came to do…die for our sins and be resurrected. As far as quoting so much of the OT, I believe Matthew is tying Jesus to the OT prophecies and to the OT in general. It is crystal clear that Matthew is speaking to those having faith in Jesus just as the other gospels.

Matthew is not just for Jews! When you read something that says this try and look into why they be saying this. Remember most if not all writers have a bias on their subject matter. Some hide it better than others.

Well, the time is at hand. We will find out during the next 24 hours if there was anything to Elenin. I suspect that there is/was nothing to it. Although, there have been more solar flares during the last month than in a typical year. I did read something in the Bible this weekend that made me ponder on my discussions with non-believers. I will have more soon…

Revelation 4:1

Most, if not all, Pre-Tribbers believe that Revelation 4:1 is the rapture. They contend that John was called by a voice “as it were a trumpet” and said “Come up hither”. In verse 2 John says he was immediately in the spirit. At first glance I could see how someone might think this was the rapture, but when you compare this to other Scripture you think otherwise. This fits the Pre-Trib mold of a secret and signless rapture. Of course, I debunk that notion here. The rapture is not a secret nor is it signless. When we have a new thought or come across an idea we must always compare it to Scripture, otherwise we could be led astray by the great deceiver, Satan. So let’s take a look at the other rapture verses in the Bible and compare.

Revelation 4:1 (Rev)- After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were a trumpet talking with me: which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (Thes)- For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord

They both have a trumpet sound in common, but there is nothing else in common between the two verses. On the other hand, there is quite a bit that differs. They both have something rising – Rev has John coming up and Thes. has the gathering, but the rising is different. Rev. 4:1 just has John rising and called from a door in Heaven, while 1 Thes 4:16-17 has the Lord coming down in clouds, with his Archangels to meet the Lord in the air. So, Thes. has believers meeting the Lord in the clouds/air. The trumpet sound alone does not give me enough evidence that Rev is the rapture.

While Thes is widely to believed to be the rapture, Matthew 24:30-31, Luke 21:27, and Mark 13:26-27 for some reason are not by Pre-Tribbers. I think if they admit that they are all the rapture then they would have to admit that there is not a pre-trib rapture. Let’s take a look at them:

Matthew 24:30-31 – And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Luke 21:27 – And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Mark 13:26-27 – And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of heaven.

Luke obviously is the least persuasive with that verse alone, but it along with the other two are preceded by the first six seals described in Revelation 6. Don’t they seem a lot like 1 Thes. 4:16-17? Yes, they do. Based on the above info one must conclude that the Pre-Trib rapture theory is nothing but a lie. Satan wants you to believe this lie. He does not want you to dive into the Word and to watch for the Lord’s appearing. We are told to watch for our blessed hope which is the return of our savior Christ Jesus. Titus 2:13 reads “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.” Matt. 24:42 reads “Watch therefore; for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” 1 Thes. 5 2-4 tells us “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with ; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that they day should overtake you as a thief.” In other words, those who are not grounded in the Word and watching for His signs will be caught by surprise. Those who are watching and paying attention will not be surprised. We may not know the day or the hour, but we do know the season and we are in the season NOW!

The Rapture & Matthew 24

Is the rapture in Matthew 24 or more specifically Matthew 24: 30-31? The verses are:

³⁰And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. ³¹And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Sounds like the rapture to me, but others do not see it that away. So let’s take a look. Some say Matthew is for the Jews and does not apply to Christians. Okay, take a look at Luke 21 or Mark 13. They both say the same thing. So unless 3/4 of the gospels apply to the Jews only this argument has issues. Most believe that the earlier verses of Matthew 24 are the 6 seals of Revelation 6 and I agree. The pretribulation theory says that the rapture occurs prior to the seals and the day of the Lord encompasses the entire 7 year tribulation. Based on my previous posts I obviously disagree. Why? Well on the day of the Lord issue Joel 2:30-31 tells us ^“30And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. ³¹The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come.” This sounds a lot like seal 6 of Revelation 6 doesn’t? Revelation 6:12-13 “¹²And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; ¹³And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth…” Those sound eerily similar if they are not the same event. If this is not evidence enough Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13 all same the same thing…sun, moon, and star signs and then a gathering of people.

Some say that the event in Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13 is not the rapture. Anyone specific? Any pretribber, but more specifically Jack Kinsella of the Omega Letter. Lets read what he wrote in the article titled “Enduring Until The End”:

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

This is NOT the Rapture. This event takes place after the Tribulation. It is neither secret nor signless – all the tribes of the earth will mourn when they see Him coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”

So Mr. Kinsella says Matthew 24:30-31, which is the verse he quoted there, is not the rapture. Why? One, his ideology prevents him from accepting it. Two, he says it is signless. Signless? I’m sorry, when did any prophet or Jesus Christ himself say the rapture was signless? Seriously? Did he back this up with Scripture? Nope and that is because you can’t. It is false, a lie, a deceit. In fact 2 Thessalonians 2 debunks this idea. Read it for yourself:

^“1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, ²That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. ³Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;”

In verse 1 it clearly outlines the question, “…coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him…” We know Paul is about to provide info regarding the question of our Lord coming and us being gathered to him. Then it says two things have to occur first. Those two things are a “falling away” and “that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition”. Doesn’t this prove that we cannot be gathered to the Lord UNTIL these two things occur? Actually there is more. Reading further in 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8 you will find this “⁷For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. ⁸And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.” So, while Satan is already at work, but only what he is allowed until he be taken out of the way. I believe this is the Michael the Archangel. Most Pretribbers believe this is the Holy Spirit. I am not going to get into all that, but if you would like to I have several blogs about this. You can read the first one here. This is another sign prior to Jesus returning for the church. Therefore, the rapture cannot and is not signless.

The other reason why Mr. Kinsella says it because it is not secret. Hmmm, I think you know where I am going. Did he provide any Scripture to support this theory? Nope. Again, you cannot find in Scripture that the rapture is going to be a secret. In fact, Scripture tells us that our Lord turned to gentiles to make the Jews jealous. Romans 11:11 ¹¹I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. To this day, have the Jews as a whole been jealous of gentiles? Nope. I believe that the only thing that will is seeing Christ rapture the church. Do I have support for this belief? I think so….Matthew 24:30 ^“30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. “ The Jews are going to discover they crucified Jesus and will mourn. I think after they have mourned they will be jealous as well. The only thing Jesus said would be a secret is the exact timing of the rapture. We can know the season, but not the day or the hour.

After Mr. Kinsella says that Matthew 24:30-31 is not the rapture he also says “This isn’t the same event described by Paul in 1st Thessalonians 4:16-18. “For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” Jesus doesn’t send His angels to gather the Church, He comes for them Personally. The Church isn’t gathered from the four winds or from one end of heaven to the other. It is caught up, first from the grave, and then from the surface of the earth and into the air. In the Matthew 24:31 event, His elect are gathered from heaven, where they already are.”

Let’s go over this now. Mr. Kinsella says 1 Thessalonians 4:16-8 is not the same as Matthew 24:30-31. Which means he also says it is not Luke 21 or Mark 13. Below are these two verses:

^“25And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; ²⁶Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. ²⁷And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. ²⁸And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. Luke 21:25-28

^“24But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, ²⁵And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. ²⁶And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. ²⁷And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.” Mark 13:24-27

I encourage you to read all of Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13, but the verses above are the same event described in Matthew 24:30-31. The events seem to also match Revelation 6 until the rapture part which does not happen until Revelation 7. Back to these events are not the same as 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18. He says that “Jesus doesn’t send His angels to gather the Church, He comes for them Personally.” Ummmm, all three versus provided says that the Son of man is coming in the clouds. I see that is Christ coming personally, don’t you? Mr. Kinsella then goes on to say “The Church isn’t gathered from the four winds or from one end of heaven to the other. It is caught up, first from the grave, and then from the surface of the earth and into the air. In the Matthew 24:31 event, His elect are gathered from heaven, where they already are.” Gathering from the four winds means from all ends of the earth, from every direction. I cannot tell you I understand from one end of Heaven to the other. I would say that this is probably encompassing the believers from the entire world. Mr. Kinsella is right it is first from the grave, but what does that mean? Does it mean when we die our spirit stays in the ground with us until the rapture? I do not believe this and I doubt he does either.

There is my case. Matthew 24:30-31 is the rapture and so is Luke 21, Mark 13. The rapture is not a secret or is it imminent (signless). I realy pray for those that think it will because I am not sure they will be ready for what is coming soon.

Well last time I posted I was not sure about this Elenin comet/star/planet thing. I am a little more sure now. I have watched a lot of youtube videos the last few days. Not that items on Youtube have any authority, but I watched a couple that were uploaded prior to March 11th. I will link one of them here and then another video discussing some future months. The video that was uploaded on 3/9/11 was warning people about a major earthquake between March 11-15. The Japan earthquake then occurred on March 11th. Coincidence? It is possible. The earthquake was predicted based on this Elenin object flying in space. It is coming closer to the earth each second of the day. It is supposed to be directly in-between the earth and the sun around September 26th, 27th. Based on some previous times when this object was in certain positions the earth had earthquakes. They are predicting a major earthquake again in late September. Then on October 17th it is supposed to be the closest to Earth that it is going to get and more quakes are expected. I could see lots of weather activity between late September and mid October. Watch the two videos and judge for yourself.

This first one is the one uploaded on March 9th, 2011. The person speaking in the video is a little odd and her other videos are def. odd, but the info seems pretty credible based on actual events.

Very interesting at the least! What needs to be thought about is if there is a massive earthquake or a big pole change could they be end times related. I believe we are in the midst of the end times and that we do not have much more time here on earth. People either need to accept Jesus Christ as there Lord and Savior or be ready to deal with consequences.

The Homosexual Push

The homosexual push continues and is getting stronger. We have a president who says he is Christian but still supports their rights. He says it is discriminatory to not allow them their rights according to our Constitution. I am not going to disagree that per our Constitution that it is discriminatory. I would say that the founding fathers would have written a different Constitution if they knew this was going to happen. Another thing I will guarantee you is that it is against the Bible. Isn’t that what matters most? How can all these people not see what is occurring in our nation in our world as the Bible becomes an outdated book to them. People think they are so smart and the Lord warned us of this exact thing. He also warned people about the end times and yet so many, including Christians, do not see the handwriting on the wall. It is time Christians stop talking amongst themselves and speak out! Our voices need to be heard as well.

I want to be clear about thing. This is not a hate speech. I do not hate the people who practice this detestable act, but I do hate the act. You and I should pray for the people who are controlled by this sin. The people who do not see eye to eye with the one true God, YHWH.

Is the Elenine comet the falling star named Wormwood in Revelation 8? In the Unsealed Prophecy blog there is a post about this Elenine comet. I do not know much about it, heck I do not even know if it is real. It seems to be, but you never know these days. As I posted in the comments of Unsealed Prophecy for Elenine to be Wormwood a lot has to occur between now and November. What? The apostasy, anti-Christ revealed, the temple defiled, rapture, and two trumpet judgements all need to happen in the next 5 months. While it can happen, I am doubting it at this time. Only time will tell….

The Restrainer Again

Hello, it has been quite a while since I posted anything. I read an article today (http://www.omegaletter.com/articles/articles.asp?ArticleID=6704) that makes me so upset. Pre-tribs try and make the Holy Spirit the restrainer in 2 Thessalonians 2. No where in the Bible is the Holy Spirit seen as restraining evil. If you can find it please show me. The reason why Pre-Tribs believe this is it is the only way they can make their belief in the Pre-Trib fit the Bible. I have written about this before I know. It just gets me worked up. I can find references in the Bible of someone else restraining evil and unless Daniel’s nickname for the Holy Spirit is Michael then it isn’t the Holy Spirit. It is Michael, the Archangel. Daniel 12:1 reads: “Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued.” Let’s compare 2 Thessalonians 2:1-10:

“Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, ² that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. ³ Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, ⁴ who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. ⁵ Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? ⁶ And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. ⁷ For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. ⁸ Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; ⁹ that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, ¹⁰ and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.”

The restrainers seem quite similar don’t they? The same events occur after they are removed. So I ask you….who fits the bill better….Michael the Archangel or the Holy Spirit? Jesus said about the Holy Spiritin John 16:8 “And He, When He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.”
